    Echo Horizon School Honored at 2007 California Student Technology Showcase

    As stated on their website, highlighting the exemplary work of students has been the goal of the California Department of Education (CDE) since it began the California Student Technology Showcase in 2001. The Showcase offers new ideas on how integrating technology into the curriculum serves to heighten student engagement.

    Students from participating schools have the opportunity to demonstrate their work in the areas of Web, video, multimedia, graphic art, sensor/probe data and analysis, animation, and database development.

    At the March 2007 Showcase, Echo Horizon School students were honored for their submission of the 2005-06 Echo Horizon Video Yearbook (which also received an award at the California Student Media Festival). During an interview, Echo Horizon School students had an opportunity to explain their project as seen in the clip below.
