Hello Educators! I am Kristen Reyna. As the Visual Arts teacher at Echo Horizon School for 30+ years, I am excited to invite you to participate in our 9th Annual Pinwheels for Peace school-wide art installation project for the International Day of Peace on September, 21st.
The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations as a day to strengthen the ideals of Peace and observe 24 hours of non-violence. It is a day when people all around the world can do anything that makes the world a better place. This years theme is End Racism, Build Peace.
Echo Horizon School celebrates by participating in Pinwheels for Peace-- a project where you can express your feelings about what’s going on in the world and in your lives through your artwork. Then, using our art, we create a community art installation.
The whole Echo Horizon School community is invited to display their pinwheel on the front lawn as a visual statement of world peace. I would like to invite you to participate in our installation and express how you can End Racism and Build Peace.
Click here to download a Pinwheels for Peace template. Bring your colored pinwheel to Echo Horizon for the Educators' Tea, and we will assemble and add it to our art installation.
