A Culture of Giving
“We have two gifts to give our children; one is roots, the other, wings.”
Everywhere at Echo Horizon School you’ll see parents, teachers, and staff committed to the exceptional education and social-emotional development of young scholars. Our success is rooted in our founding principles of community, inquiry, inclusion, and gratitude, and given wings by our families, who are the custodians of Echo Horizon’s future.
As with most independent schools, tuition does not cover the full operating costs of an Echo Horizon education. As a nonprofit, we rely on the support of that community—of parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, teachers and faculty, and other community members—to help us meet that gap.
What do those funds support?
- The opportunity to research and implement the best pedagogical practices and create optimal learning environments that ensure our classrooms are dynamic centers of engaged learning.
- The ability to attract, engage, and retain exceptional faculty and staff and support their work with opportunities for professional development.
- The initiatives of the Echo Center, our nationally recognized program for mainstreaming Deaf or hard-of-hearing students, with evidence-based innovations.
- Our tuition assistance program, which ensures that our community truly reflects the vibrant city in which we live.
Year after year, we are fortunate to have a growing number of engaged, supportive, and diverse parents who enrich our school through their gifts of time, treasure, and talent. The opportunities to be involved in the life of our school are varied and designed for every level of participation. Parents cheer on our pep rallies, join the Parent Association leadership, support our Spring fundraising event, and participate in our Echo Horizon Fund with personal contributions, company matching gifts, or stock gifts. All we ask is that you make Echo Horizon your philanthropic priority.
To meet our goals, we ask that every family participate in our culture of giving at a meaningful level. Not only does your contribution demonstrate your commitment to our community, but it also supports your children, their classmates, and the dynamic educational experience for which Echo Horizon is known.
All annual giving contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed, and our nonprofit ID number is 95-2654647.
