How To Apply

  • Step 1: Inquiry

    Initial intake begins with direct contact with the Head of Echo Center.

     

    Applications are accepted online beginning in August of the year prior to desired enrollment. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1 of their entering year.

     


    Step 2: Schedule a Tour
    Open Houses take place from 9:00 to 11:00 am and include an opportunity to tour the school, meet current Echo Horizon parents, students, faculty and administrators. Open House attendance is by reservation only. Please click here to reserve a space.



    Step 3: Application

    Applications for 2017-2018 are now available. Please click here to apply. The deadline for the 2017-2018 school year is December 15, 2016.


    The application fee is $150 and is payable by credit card online.

     


    Step 4: Financial Aid

    To apply for financial aid, please download and fill out the supplemental forms in addition to the FAST online questions. Click the FAST button below to get started.

    Step 5: Forms

    All Evaluation forms and Record Release forms are available online. The deadline to submit all forms for the 2017-2018 school year is January 23, 2017.

     

    Pre-K and Kindergarten: Give the Preschool Evaluation form to your preschool teacher. The preschool will send the form directly to Echo Horizon School. Click here for this form.

     

    Grades 1-6: Give the Teacher Evaluation form to your child’s current teacher. It should be sent directly to Echo Horizon School. Click here for this form.

     

    Records Release Request: Give this to the office of your child’s current school. The school will send transcripts and report cards directly to Echo Horizon School. Click here for this form.

     

     

    Step 6: Interview/Assessment

    Pre-K and Kindergarten: Applicants will come for an assessment with their parents. A parent interview with a member of the Admissions Committee will take place at the same time. We will contact you to set this up after we receive your application.

     

    Grades 1 to 6: Parents will be interviewed by a member of the Admissions Committee. We will contact you to set this up after we receive your application.

     


    Step 7: Library/Classroom Visit

    Pre-K and Kindergarten: You will be invited back for a second visit during which your child will spend time in a group situation in the Library and on the yard. This appointment will be set up when you choose your interview appointment time.

     

    Grades 1-6: Applicants will spend time in a classroom in their current grade. They will also do an assessment during their visit. This appointment will be set up when you select your interview time.

     


    Step 8: Notification

    Admissions decisions are made based on a child’s potential to succeed academically, emotionally and socially in our environment, the School’s desire to achieve diversity, heterogeneity of skills and interests, a balance of boys and girls in each classroom, and the parents’ support and commitment to our philosophy. Preference is given to siblings.  Notification letters will be mailed on March 17, 2017.
