    Hello First Grade Families!
Our First Grade Parent Social swiftly approaches and we have a few outstanding items that we’d love to have at the party. For those of you who have already signed up to contribute, that’s awesome and thank you! If you haven’t signed up to bring anything, here’s the quick checklist of what we’re looking for. Maybe some of these items are already in your pantry!? If so, we want to come hang out at your house, party animal.
    2 bottles of tequila
    2 bottles of margarita mix
    one 12 pack of beer
    1 salad
    1 dessert
    2 bottles red wine
    1 bottle white wine
    7 taco slots
1 partridge in a pear tree (too soon?)
Sign up here to bring whatever you want to bring: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080849aba92da13-first.
Any extra bottles of wine that are left after the party will be donated to the Instant Wine Cellar, a very hot item at our annual Spring Affaire auction. If you would like to bring an extra bottle to contribute to the I.W.C., please feel free!
We’re really looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at 6:30!
Here’s the rundown of reminders for the week:

    TURKEY IN A TOTE

The Turkey in a Tote community service collection continues until Friday, 11/21. THANK YOU to everyone who has already contributed. Click here https://www.echohorizon.org/site/Default.aspx?PageType=7&SiteID=1 to download a list of items for collection.
This year we aren’t collecting home baked cookies, but we will collect pre-packaged cookies. The collection boxes are in the school foyer, and our children are eager to fill them. Please consider sending in your contributions as early as possible; it encourages everyone when they see how well we are doing on the bar graphs and in the overflowing boxes.
This year our community is supporting both Children Helping Poor and Homeless People (CHPHP) and the Ocean Park Community Center (OPCC). For more information about these wonderful organizations, click here: https://www.echohorizon.org/site/Default.aspx?PageType=7&SiteID=1 Both organizations are connected to Echo Horizon parents.
Again, we deeply appreciate your family’s involvement.

    VOLUNTEERS FOR GRANDPARENTS DAY

We are in need of volunteers for Grandparents and Special Friends Day! You’ll have front row seats to see the joy the kids feel sharing this day with Grandparents and Special Friends. It can't happen without volunteers! To sign up, click here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080544aea72eab9-grandparents.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 17TH DROP OFF CHANGE

Please note that carpool drop-off for grades PK-5 will be held at the side entrance IN the faculty parking lot instead of the circle drive at the front of school. This is so important that we underlined the whole sentence. This change is due to the departure of the 6th grade overnight trip to Pali.
Please enter the parking lot as usual but be aware that faculty will be stationed to unload children at the doors at the end of the K/1st grade hallway.
Afternoon pickup will be held in the circle drive as usual.

    HOLIDAY GIFT PROGRAM

Thanks to the many parents who promptly sent in money for the Holiday Gift program! This is an easy and much-appreciated way to thank our great teachers, aides, specialists, and staff. Remember, the deadline to contribute is December 4th
Any questions, please contact Jennifer Roggenkamp at jennifer.roggenkamp@gmail.com.

    SCHOOL PHOTOS

School photos of your toothless darlings are ready! Click here http://www.enjoyphotos.com for the website and then enter username EHS-2014 and password 4918214. If you have any questions, contact Lainez Photography at (310)569-5994 or eddie@lainezphotography.com

    LOST & FOUND

Please remember to check the Lost and Found rack upstairs in the multi-purpose room for those Silly Bandz and socks that never seem to make it home from school. All items that remain unclaimed will be donated at the end of the term (before Winter Break)(although maybe this was your secret plan all along to get rid of the Silly Bandz??).
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday and have a great looooong weekend!
