• Carisa Aguilera joined Echo Horizon School in 2024 and brings a passion for education, social justice, and student engagement. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies from Loyola Marymount University and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Columbia University School of Social Work.

What she loves most about Echo Horizon is the curiosity and enthusiasm of its students—she finds their eagerness to learn both inspiring and energizing.

Outside of school, Carisa enjoys spending time with her dog and cat, and expresses her creativity through knitting and crocheting. A recent highlight was traveling to Japan, where she explored new cultures and perspectives—experiences she brings back to enrich her work with children and families.
