• Jackie Gonzalez joined Echo Horizon in 2024 and is excited to work alongside Ellis Enlow as one of the Pre-K Teachers. She grew up in northern California and moved to the LA area to attend California State University Northridge. After graduating with her B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development, she got her multiple-subject teaching credential and began teaching first grade at Coeur D’Alene Elementary in Venice. While teaching, she was selected to be a fellow of the COTSEN Art of Teaching Program, where she participated in a two-year mentorship focused on reading instruction. In her pursuit of life-long learning, she next earned her Masters in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Concordia University of Irvine. Fascinated by the ways young people think about mathematics, she began working with the UCLA Math Project to support fellow teachers in their mathematics instruction. While she is not teaching, she loves to spend time with her Los Angeles-born and raised husband, dog and baby boy. Jackie loves to hike, road trip to visit family, go to the beach, cook and spend lots of quality time with her little one.
