Project Amplify
From
Inspiration to Impact
A Place for Every Voice

Dear Echo Horizon Community,
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the Echo Center Family Education Night and the State of the School address last week. At these meetings, we announced an exciting new initiative titled Project Amplify. In this letter, we are excited to share an update on the project with everyone who was unable to attend those meetings.
As we celebrate the centennial of our historic building, it’s time to also honor the vital spaces within it. For over fifty years, our auditorium has been the heart of Echo Horizon School—a space where students and community members perform, present, gather, and grow. Yet it was last renovated more than thirty years ago. Today, we are ready to reimagine it for the next generation.
We are proud to introduce Project Amplify, a transformational renovation that will create a warm, modern space where every voice carries with clarity and every gathering reflects the excellence of our school.
This project directly advances our Strategic Plan:
- Inspiring a Community that Leads with Heart by providing a stage where students build confidence and share their gifts and where our families and friends gather to learn and celebrate.
- Championing Academic Excellence through improved technology, lighting, and sound to ensure that our auditorium is a state of the art learning and presentation environment for all students.
- Strengthening the Echo Center by dramatically improving acoustic clarity so our DHH students can fully participate alongside their hearing peers, ensuring true belonging for all.
- Cultivating Belonging for All with acoustical improvements to ensure that everyone has optimal access to sound, increasing the sense of belonging and inclusion for all, core to our JEDI values.
- Inspiring a Shared Commitment to Advancement by creating impactful experiences that attract new families and inspire continued philanthropic support.
When our hall is full, its current 1.5-second reverberation makes following speech difficult —especially for students with hearing aids or cochlear implants. Through slatted wood acoustic panels, ceiling treatment, and fabric-wrapped sound panels, we will cut reverberation in half while transforming the space aesthetically. Professional-grade JBL sound, theatrical lighting, and a built-in production booth will elevate every assembly and performance.
Project Amplify represents a significant and meaningful investment in our community’s future. We are grateful for 100% Board commitment and a $500,000 lead gift from a visionary donor who believed in this transformation from the start.
Construction will begin in June and continue throughout the summer with a grand reveal at the start of the 2026–27 school year.
This space touches every member of our community every day. Together, we can ensure that every student belongs, every gathering inspires, and every moment reflects the excellence of Echo Horizon.
With gratitude,
