Project Amplify

From

Inspiration to Impact

A Place for Every Voice

Dear Echo Horizon Community,

Earlier this year, at the Echo Center Family Education Night and the State of the School address, we shared an exciting new initiative with our community: Project Amplify. Since then, we have been grateful for the enthusiasm, generosity, and early support this project has inspired. As we move closer to construction this summer, we are pleased to share more about this important effort and invite our broader community to be part of this transformational moment for Echo Horizon.

For more than fifty years, our auditorium has been one of the most beloved and meaningful spaces on campus. It is where students perform, gather for assemblies, celebrate milestones, share their voices, and experience the joy of learning together. It is also a space where every Echo Horizon family begins and ends their journey, from their first school gatherings to culminating celebrations.

Yet our auditorium was last renovated more than thirty years ago. Today, we have an opportunity to reimagine this essential space for the next generation of Echo Horizon students and families.

Project Amplify is a transformational renovation that will create a warm, modern, and acoustically supportive auditorium where every voice carries with clarity and every gathering reflects the excellence of our school.

This project directly advances our Strategic Plan by:

  • Inspiring a Community that Leads with Heart by providing a stage where students build confidence, share their gifts, and where our families and friends gather to learn and celebrate.
  • Championing Academic Excellence through improved technology, lighting, and sound, ensuring that our auditorium serves as a state-of-the-art learning and presentation environment for all students.
  • Strengthening the Echo Center by dramatically improving acoustic clarity so our DHH students can fully participate alongside their hearing peers, ensuring true belonging for all.
  • Cultivating Belonging for All through acoustical improvements that provide optimal access to sound and support a more inclusive experience for every member of our community.
  • Inspiring a Shared Commitment to Advancement by creating impactful experiences that attract new families and inspire continued philanthropic support.

Presently, when our auditorium is full, its current 1.5-second reverberation makes following speech difficult, especially for students with hearing aids or cochlear implants. Through slatted wood acoustic panels, ceiling treatment, and fabric-wrapped sound panels, Project Amplify will cut reverberation in half while transforming the space aesthetically. Professional-grade JBL sound, theatrical lighting, and a built-in production booth will elevate every assembly, performance, presentation, and community gathering.

Project Amplify represents a significant and meaningful investment in our community’s future. We are deeply grateful for 100% Board commitment and a $500,000 lead gift from a visionary donor who believed in this transformation from the start. This early support has created powerful momentum, and now we invite our broader Echo Horizon community to help carry this project forward.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June and continue throughout the summer, with a grand reveal planned for the start of the 2026–27 school year.

This space touches every member of our community. Together, we can ensure that every student belongs, every gathering inspires, and every moment in this treasured space reflects the excellence, warmth, and joyful spirit of Echo Horizon.

With gratitude,
