Parent Association

The Parent Association is at the heart of our community, connecting families, faculty, and school leadership. Every parent and guardian is a member and is invited to contribute their time, talents, and interests in ways that feel meaningful and manageable. Opportunities range from event planning and fundraising to hot lunch service and the annual book fair. Whether behind the scenes or front and center, participation strengthens relationships and deepens a sense of belonging.

In addition, Echo Horizon Parent Association co-chairs, committee chairs, room parents, and volunteers collaborate closely with school leadership and faculty on events, programs, and projects that enrich campus life. Annual traditions include Community Outreach initiatives, Party With a Purpose (Party Book events), All-School Family Fun Day, the Book Fair, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, and our largest community celebration—the Spring Affaire.

Learning at Echo Horizon extends beyond our campus. As part of the greater Culver City and Los Angeles communities, we actively engage in partnerships that promote empathy, responsibility, and civic engagement. Our school collaborates with organizations such as LIFT-LA, Mar Vista Family Center, Boys & Girls Club, S.P.Y., and One Voice LA to participate in meaningful outreach rooted in justice and service.

You’ll also find Echo Horizon represented at local events including Culver City Fiesta La Ballona, the Culver City Art Walk & Roll, Culver City Pride Ride, the Larchmont Fair, and Heal the Bay’s Coastal Cleanup at Ballona Creek—where Echo Horizon proudly serves as a host site.

We believe learning is a lifelong pursuit for all members of our community. Parents and guardians are invited to engage in ongoing learning through speaker events featuring experts such as author Ruth Whippman, educational expert Lindsay Astor Grant, and Dr. Dolly Klock on child development. Our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) team also hosts events that extend classroom conversations into the parent community, fostering shared understanding and continued growth.
