Echo Horizon School events are engaging, informative, celebratory, and—most of all—fun. Designed to foster connection and inclusivity, our events bring together the community to celebrate learning, creativity, and togetherness. Some traditions have been cherished for decades, while others are new and uniquely Echo Horizon. By offering a variety of events throughout the year, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate, connect, and create lasting memories. Our events include, but are not limited to:

Echo Horizon School is an active member of the vibrant Culver City community. Our students, families, and faculty participate in local events such as:

• Heal the Bay’s Coastal Cleanup at Ballona Creek, where Echo Horizon proudly serves as a host site at our neighboring Syd Kronenthal Park

Learning at Echo Horizon extends far beyond our campus. Our school participates in community engagement projects that promote empathy, responsibility, and social justice. Through partnerships with organizations such as:

The Student Life & Leadership team supports grade-level classrooms, the Student Advisory Board, and community partners in taking the lead at weekly assemblies. Our scholars guide all-school activities, perform skits, and appear in informative and engaging videos centered around one of the nine traits of our Flourish Program:

The Echo Horizon Parent Association hosts regular Morning Coffees—informal gatherings designed for parents and guardians to connect, share experiences, and build community. These sessions provide a space for meaningful discussions on a variety of topics, from parenting strategies and school programs to shared resources and everyday experiences. Whether you come to learn, share, or simply connect with other families, Morning Coffees offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all parents and guardians.

The Meet the Board Morning Coffee provides parents and guardians with an opportunity to learn more about the work of the Echo Horizon School Board. These gatherings foster transparency, connection, and dialogue, allowing families to better understand school initiatives, governance, and the strategic vision guiding our community. It’s also a space to share experiences, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversation with board members.

Leadership Team Coffees offer parents and guardians a chance to connect directly with Echo Horizon’s leadership. These gatherings cover a wide range of topics, including academic and social-emotional programming, logistics for events and performances, and ways families can support and engage with school initiatives. Each year, the Head of School also presents the annual State of the School, providing insights into the school’s progress, goals, and vision for the future. These gatherings provide an opportunity for families to ask questions, share feedback, and stay closely informed about life at Echo Horizon.

Hosted by the Echo Center team and the Echo Center parent community, these gatherings provide a space for families to connect, learn, and share experiences related to deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) education. Topics range from:

• Latest hearing technologies
• Tips for hosting playdates with an Echo Center students
• Representation of the DHH community
• Featured speakers
• Shared stories and resources

Some sessions are open to the entire school community, while others are designed specifically for Echo Center families, fostering connection, support, and a deeper understanding of the DHH experience.

More commonly known as Party Book, Echo Horizon School's Party With a Purpose is an online catalog of social events hosted by members of our vibrant community (which are tax-deductible).

Families generously open their homes, share their hobbies, and showcase their unique talents, all in the spirit of connection and giving back.
