Alumni
We credit Echo Horizon as one of the most significant and positive influences on our children. It provided the perfect balance of a challenging, rigorous curriculum with supportive encouragement. Our children thrived at Echo Horizon School and to this day feel it is their "home."

Join your family with ours

Welcome!  We are delighted that you are interested in learning about Echo Horizon School.  There are so many different aspects I’d like to share with you about our school.  Some I will relate to you here.  Others you can find as you explore our website.  However, the best way to really get to know us, to understand our program and philosophy, and to see our beautiful facility, is to visit.
When making admissions decisions, we do our best to create classes that are balanced and heterogeneous, and we welcome diversity in its many forms.   There are several steps to the admissions process.  The first is to tour the school.  Then submit an application.  You will then be invited to bring your child to the school for an interview.  Admissions interviews begin in early January and continue through early March. These visits include both parents and the child, so that we can get to know your family and see how you would connect with our community.

Our youngest children vary in age by several months and display different levels of maturity and skill. We understand and appreciate that diversity. Some entering Kindergartners are already beginning to read and to write; others are just beginning to recognize letters of the alphabet. We understand that our new Kindergartners will not all have the same level of proficiency, whether it be reading and writing, cutting on a line, drawing a person, or crossing the monkey bars.

Most children enter our program in Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten.  When space is available children may also be admitted into grades One through Six.  The students we admit are those who will thrive in our program and those whose parents find our school's philosophy compatible with their own.

Please plan a visit by calling our school office at 310.838.2442 to reserve a date. I’d love to welcome you in person!  A visit will give you the opportunity to connect with current Echo Horizon parents, tour the school while classes are in session, and hear from our Head of School, Paula Dashiell.

To RSVP for one of the scheduled Open House dates, (1) complete the Request for Information form, and (2) email Holly Bolotin.

 Sincerely,

Jenny Boone
Director of Admissions
